Student Teams Workshop
Today, recruiters expect students to work in collaborative settings prior to entering the workforce. As such, instructors frequently use student team projects in their courses. And while these instructors are knowledgeable about their field of expertise, they often have questions about the way teams actually work and succeed. In this workshop, learn ways to create and manage successful student teams that work for both instructors and students.

This 3-hour workshop helps you better understand:
- Teams 101:
- the importance of team skills to make students competitive
- team types, work patterns, and processes
- Things students and instructors should know:β
- how to handle slacking in teamsβ
- how to deal with conflict and communicate effectively in teams
- The instructor role:β
- the extent to which the instructor should be involved
- how to deal with common team issues
- assessment of both course knowledge and team skills
- conversations you should expect to have with students
- and more!
This workshop is held virtually on Zoom.

Student Video (Additional cost)
Add a 30-minute "guest speaker" video for asynchronous online student viewing that covers basic team ideas and why teamwork in school is important for students and their career goals. This video provides important information to students without using crucial instructor-led coursetime.
